The 32nd Miami Book Fair International Winds Down with Street Fair Weekend

Book lovers unite! Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, marks the first day of Miami Book Fair International’s Street Fair Weekend. Located on Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus in Miami, Florida, the event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Entrance to the fair is free for all fairgoers on Friday. General admission costs $8 on Saturday and Sunday; however, children 12 and under get in free and fairgoers 12 to 18 and 62 and older pay a discounted rate of just $5.

With whimsical characters, art, music, and fun-filled activates, Miami Book Fair’s Children’s Alley proves to be a fan favorite each year. Located inside Children’s Alley, One Room, Many Stories lets fairgoers immerse themselves into foreign cultures through various activities, literature, and plays. Similarly, the Science Fair is the perfect place for children to explore the constructs of outer space, buried fossils, and marine life. Another favorite inside Children’s Alley is the Rhythm Factory, which is a great spot for children to discover their musical talent. If you’re a Big Bang Theory fan, you won’t want to miss getting an autographed copy of Kunal Nayyar's latest book Yes, My Accent is Real at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. The Social Network’s Jesse Eisenberg will be signing copies of his latest book Bream Gives Me Hiccups as well. Guests may attend both signings at no extra charge.

Food lovers will definitely want to check out what’s cooking in The Kitchen on Saturday and Sunday. From Bajan and Mediterranean cuisine to a twist on traditional Latin cooking, guests are sure to find the perfect flavor to excite their pallet. While cooking demonstration seating is limited to ticket holders, there are plenty of other author-led discussions in The Kitchen to satisfy your culinary obsession.
